Joe is from New Jersey, where he played attack from 4th grade on and served as captain at Fair Lawn HS leading the team to the 3rd round of state playoffs. He played club lacrosse at the University of Delaware while studying to become a teacher and coached a couple of local high school teams in DE and MD. He still plays men’s lacrosse on the Blue Wahoos and Hedgehogs serving as attack and midfielder. Mr. Pepitone taught physics at Norcross High School, and started coaching there in 2007 when spearheading the creation of girls and boys club lacrosse teams. The girls had a nearly perfect season in his last year of coaching girls. He founded as well as coached boys JV/Varsity and girls Varsity teams and the boys Varsity took 2nd place in the All Gwinnett Tournament. Later he coached youth boys in Duluth, Wesleyan, and coached North Gwinnett middle teams in the spring and continues to coach the high school varsity and JV boys fall ball program.
Coach Pepitone is head coach at North Gwinnett High School, and his daughter has played on the girls team K-6th where he coached boys and girls within the youth program from 2015-present.
